We have a duty of care towards those from whom we ask so much.

Built with first responders, for first responders.

The First Responder Resiliency Program (FRRP) is a clinician-led, small-group, four-day residential program designed with first responder leaders and participants.

We focus on practical skills that strengthen recovery, connection, and help-seeking—so people can keep doing the work they love, without carrying it alone.

The program follows a structured group process that combines education, skills practice, and guided reflection in a format that fits real service culture—practical, respectful, and peer-anchored.

First Responder Resiliency Program

“This was my first experience speaking about personal topics in a group setting. I felt completely heard, understood and supported, and I also learned how to listen and support my colleagues better. I had no idea how impactful this would be—it has made me a better teammate, friend, and family member.”

The work is essential. The cost is real.

First responders routinely face high-stress environments and cumulative exposure to potentially psychologically traumatizing events.

Over time, that load can show up as sleep disruption, irritability, emotional constriction, isolation, relationship strain, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress symptoms, and increased risk-taking—especially in cultures where a sense of belonging is tied to “holding it together”.

FRRP isn’t about “fixing” people—it’s about strengthening recovery conditions, connection, and the skills that support the person behind the uniform.

Skills people can use on shift, at home, and between calls.

We don’t ask participants to become something they’re not.

We help you build a recovery system that fits who you are, for the job you do:

  • Stress & trauma education: understanding what the nervous system does under threat

  • Self-regulation techniques: the ability to downshift, sleep better, and recover more effectively

  • Communication tools: personalized approaches to engaged listening and conflict resolution

  • Connection: strengthening channels for supportive, non-coercive engagement with peers

  • Planning: turning personal insights into realistic resiliency plans for the journey forward

Who benefits from the program.

We work with professional associations, unions, public agencies and government at all levels to create and deliver programs for:

  • Fire fighters

  • Law enforcement officers

  • Military personnel and veterans

  • Paramedics/EMS workers

  • Search and rescue personnel

FRRP is intended to complement existing services offered in the workplace and the community for first responders, such as individual therapy, and other in-patient/out-patient services as needed.
