FRRP Registration

Participant Criteria:

The BC FRRP is most suitable for those who are:

  1. Interested in participating in a group of peers and examining the impact of their work experiences on their life;

  2. Interested in coming to support their peers as they discuss difficult events from their service;

  3. Interested in acquiring knowledge and skills in dealing with memories of difficult events during their work as a first responder;

  4. Interested in attempting to make changes in work, relationships or personal life.


The BC FRRP is not suitable for those:

  1. Who, for whatever reason, are unable to be active and respectful members of a group learning environment;

  2. Who are unable to maintain sobriety during the program. We do not require that people not use outside of the group, however, any group member who is unable to attend the program without consuming drugs or alcohol is not suitable for this program. Any group member who attends a group under the influence of drugs/alcohol will be asked to leave immediately;

  3. Who are actively suicidal.
